This portion of our site is broken down into three sections. Here are various pictures in and around the ISGC Complex in Southwark, London. Also available are details of the Globe's stage and the adjacent Inigo Jones indoor theatre.
The site of the Shakespeare's Globe Center complex is much more than the Globe Theatre (an early model of which appears at right). The intent behind the idea calls for an education center, as well as a museum, shops, apartments, and a restaurant/pub, too.
Here is an artist's depiction of the entire site from the early planning stages, as seen from the River Thames.
Here is a later rendition, this time with a cutaway of the theatre itself, depicting the Center on a typical business day.
The Globe site is next to the Historic Christopher Wren House, which adds another dimension to the locale's theatrical interest.
