1994--April 22, the embroidered hangings made by the people of New Zealand are unveiled on site by HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

--April 29-30, The Hamlet Project culminates in a festival of "Hamlet inspired" performances by participating schools.

--Aug 1, the on-site Globe Exposition opens, which includes information on the authentic rebuilding, and a tour of current facilities. Their offices are located next to the Globe Reconstruction, on the River Thames
--Sept 12, Theo Crosby, Globe Architect, dies.
--Nov 1, Michael Holden appointed Chief Executive of the Globe Trust.
--Globe Education Center opens at the Bear Gardens.
--Globelink now numbers 300 schools in 18 countries.
--Globe Audio-Visual Committee organizes the record of the reconstruction.

1995--Jan 25, Tate Gallery announces that Swiss architects Herzog and de Mueron will transform the Bankside Power Station into an art gallery.

--Feb 6, Globe Trust makes a formal application to the Arts Council's National Lottery.
--Globe's auditorium is now complete (shown at left), including the thatched roof; concrete framework of the Inigo Jones Theatre is also complete; artisan Gudrun Lietz produces all 315 balustrades for the Globe's galleries on a traditional lathe.
--Southwark Cathedral mounts a plaque honoring Sam Wanamaker next to its Shakespeare memorial. [whitewashed Globe] --April 26, London News 97.3 FM becomes the official radio station for the Globe.
--May 6, Globelink buries its sixth batch of time capsules; schools number 350, from 20 countries.

--Aug 1, Mark Rylance is appointed Globe's Artistic Director.
--Aug, Royal Mail unveils Elizabethan and Jacobean Theatre stamps: the Swan, Rose, Hope, a hexagonal 1599 Globe and 24 sided 1614 Globe.
--Arts Council awards Globe Trust £12,4 million from the National Lottery.
--the Globe gets an e-mail address: 100741.1611@compuserve.com
--Sept 14, Globelink buries seventh set of time capsules.
--Sept 20, Gordon Getty donates £1 million.
--Friends of Shakespeare's Globe celebrates 10th anniversary

. 1996--walls of the Inigo Jones Theatre rise, work begins on the Globe's outer stair towers.
--Globelink reaches £100,000 goal for the heavens, includes schools from 27 countries.
--May 1, eighth group of Globelink time capsules is buried.

--August 21--the Prologue Season presents The Two Gentlemen of Verona and special performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Damon and Pythias. The Prologue Season ran through September 15.
